MARATHON, KEY COLONY BEACH, COCO PLUM AND SOMBRERO BEACH CONDOS & TOWNHOMES

A beachfront condo with ocean views, a condo on Boot Key Harbor with dockage and water views, or a condo or townhouse in a resort setting with lots of amenities?  There are many choices when you decide on purchasing a condo in Marathon or Key Colony Beach in the Florida Keys.  It just depends on what you want.  For the most part, it’s tough to get sand and a dock, so usually, one must be sacrificed.  However, sometimes you might get lucky!  

Condominiums in Key Colony Beach are mainly all oceanfront and the beaches there have beautiful sand and clear water.  The condos are well kept and if the condo doesn’t have a view, you still get all the amenities.  Sunset Park is a public beach area on Key Colony and you can also join the Cabana Club to get a pool and beach.

Coco Plum has a public beach that is also dog friendly.  Coco Plum’s beaches are more narrow, some of the condos on Coco Plum have lost a lot of beach area over the years to erosion.

Sombrero Beach still holds out as #1 in my book, although Sombrero does not have any oceanfront condos with beaches. You will find several canalfront complexes with docks and many are located on Boot Key Harbor with views.

There are many options with condos here in the Middle Keys.  One thing to keep in mind is:  do you want to be able to rent the condo for income when you aren’t enjoying it?  The reason I ask this is the majority of condos in our area cannot be rented weekly; and weekly rentals are where you get the most rental income.
